10 publicationsLiver diseases diagnosed as Liver cirrhosis with Homoeopathic Treatment: A Case Report
Liver diseases, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and cirrhosis, are prevalent globally and can arise from various etiologies such as obesity, excessive alcohol consumption, hepatitis infections, autoimmune disorders, cholestatic conditions, and metabolic overloads of iron or copper. Liver cirrhosis, characterized by the formation of regenerative nodules surrounded by fibrous bands and progressive hepatic dysfunction, often leads to severe complications such as variceal bleeding, portal hypertension, and coagulopathy. Traditional management typically involves addressing these complications through conventional medical approaches. This case report presents the management of a patient with liver cirrhosis and its complications using a homeopathic treatment approach. By focusing on the totality of symptoms rather than isolated manifestations, homeopathic treatment aims to address the underlying imbalance and promote overall health. The report highlights the therapeutic process, patient response, and outcomes, providing insights into the potential role of homeopathy in managing complex liver cirrhosis cases.
A Literature Review on Fibromyalgia with its Homoeopathic Management
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic primary pain syndrome characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, cognitive dysfunction, and psychological distress. It is classified under ICD-11 as nociplastic pain and represents the second most common rheumatic disorder. The condition often coexists with other chronic overlapping pain syndromes such as irritable bowel syndrome, temporomandibular disorder, and chronic headache, implicating central nervous system dysregulation in its pathophysiology. Diagnosis relies on the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria, revised in 2016, which emphasize the Widespread Pain Index (WPI) and Symptom Severity Score (SSS). Conventional management includes analgesics, antidepressants, and muscle relaxants, though these are associated with significant side effects. Homoeopathy offers individualized treatment options, with studies demonstrating improvements in pain, tender point count, quality of life, and mood. Remedies such as Rhus toxicodendron, Arnica, Cimicifuga, Bryonia, Ruta, Kali carbonicum, Kalmia, and Gelsemium are highlighted for their efficacy in addressing fibromyalgia symptoms. This review underscores the importance of holistic management approaches, integrating homoeopathy to improve functional outcomes and patient well-being.
A comparative study on effectiveness of Individualized Homoeopathic Medicine versus Bacillus no. “7”- The Bowel Nosode in cases of Gout
Gout, a form of inflammatory arthritis, poses significant challenges in its management due to limited efficacy and adverse effects associated with conventional therapies. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Bacillus no.7, a probiotic agent, and individualized homeopathic medicine in the treatment of gout. A comparative interventional study was conducted on 46 patients diagnosed with gout, systematically assigned to two groups: Group A receiving individualized homeopathic medicine , Group B receiving Bacillus no. 7. ACR EULAR Criteria was utililized for screening the potential patients of gout. The primary outcome measures serum uric acid levels, assessed at baseline and follow-up visits over a period of 6 months. Secondary outcomes encompassed reduction in intensity of pain (using NPRS). Statistical analysis revealed significant improvements in pain intensity and serum uric acid levels in both intervention groups. However, significant difference was observed between Bacillus no.7 and individualized homeopathic medicine groups in terms of efficacy. Furthermore, both interventions demonstrated a favorable safety profile with minimal adverse effects. Overall, our findings suggests that individualized homeopathic medicine may offer promising alternative therapeutic options for managing gout as compared to Bacillus no.7, warranting further investigation into their mechanisms of action and long-term effects.[1][4]
