Liver diseases diagnosed as Liver cirrhosis with Homoeopathic Treatment: A Case Report

Dr. Virendra Jain et al.
4/3/2026
pp. 30-38

Liver diseases, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and cirrhosis, are prevalent globally and can arise from various etiologies such as obesity, excessive alcohol consumption, hepatitis infections, autoimmune disorders, cholestatic conditions, and metabolic overloads of iron or copper. Liver cirrhosis, characterized by the formation of regenerative nodules surrounded by fibrous bands and progressive hepatic dysfunction, often leads to severe complications such as variceal bleeding, portal hypertension, and coagulopathy. Traditional management typically involves addressing these complications through conventional medical approaches. This case report presents the management of a patient with liver cirrhosis and its complications using a homeopathic treatment approach. By focusing on the totality of symptoms rather than isolated manifestations, homeopathic treatment aims to address the underlying imbalance and promote overall health. The report highlights the therapeutic process, patient response, and outcomes, providing insights into the potential role of homeopathy in managing complex liver cirrhosis cases.

Study of efficacy of Homoeopathic Medicines in Management of Psoriasis cases treated after 2018: a retrospective study.

Dr Anand Sunil Nikam

pp. 59

Psoriasis is a chronic, non infectious inflammatory skin disorder characterized by erythematous plaques covered with silvery scales and commonly affecting extensor surfaces such as elbows, knees, and scalp. The condition often follows a relapsing and remitting course and may significantly affect the quality of life of patients. This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of homoeopathic medicines in the management of psoriasis cases treated after 2018. A total of 45 cases of psoriasis belonging to the age group of 10 to 60 years and of both sexes were included in the study. Patients were treated with individualized homoeopathic medicines based on symptom similarity and constitutional characteristics. Various remedies such as Arsenicum album, Graphites, Sepia, Sulphur, Petroleum, and Psorinum were prescribed according to the presenting symptoms and patient constitution. The results of the study indicated that 91% of cases showed improvement following homoeopathic treatment, while 6.66% of cases showed no improvement and 2.2% showed minimal improvement. The findings suggest that homoeopathic treatment may provide beneficial outcomes in the management of psoriasis by addressing both physical symptoms and underlying constitutional factors. Further large scale and controlled studies are recommended to validate these findings.
