To Study The Different Clinical Condition Of Drugs Of Solanaceae Family

The Solanaceae is a large varied family of trees, shrubs & herbs including 90 genera & more than 2000 species. Solanaceae is known for possessing a diverse range of alkaloids. Therapeutically these are most powerful known anticholinergic in existence, meaning the inhibit neurological signals transmitted by the endogenous neurotransmitter, acetylcholine. Medicinally important species of solanaces family belongs to following genera namely: solanum, capsicum, hyoscyamus, atropa, datura, nicotiana & miscellaneous. These species are extensively used for medicinal purpose throughout the country. The Solanaceae family is characteristically ethno botanical, that is extensively used by humans. It is important source of food, spice & medicine. However Solanaceae species rich in alkaloids whose toxicity to humans & animals ranges from mildly irritating to fatal in small quantities. Methods: Simple randomized sampling with 30 cases in which patients were enrolled till the targetwas achieved. The patients were selected on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Patients were considered on the basis of clinical presentation. All cases were taken as per the case record format prepared for the study. Prescription of each case was based on the symptomsimilarity of medicine of Solanaceae family. Outcome was assessed as a recovered, improved & not improved. Results: All 30 cases were studied after administration of homoeopathic remedy from Solanaceae family out of this, 28 cases improve and 2 cases were not improved. Conclusion: In this study it is found that homoeopathic remedy Belladonna of Solanaceae family covers the most clinical condition than other remedies of Solanaceae family.
