“Chronic low back pain” signifies at least 12 week of pain in low back. About 80% of adults experience low back pain at some point in their life. It is the most common cause of job related disability and a leading contributor to missed work days. As part of the global burden of disease study (GBD) 2010, the expert group showed that low back pain is among the top ten high burden diseases and injuries, with an average number DALYs (disability-adjusted life years)higher than HIV, road injuries, tuberculosis, lung cancer, COPD. In this study, we tried to explore the common homoeopathic medicine and its effects in cases of chronic low back pain. We hope our study provides the students and readers with the proper acknowledgement of chronic low back pain and homoeopathic approach towards it.
Homoeopathic Treatment Of Acne Vulgaris
Acne vulgaris is the most common skin disorder. The peak incidence is between 16 to 18 years in women and 16 to 19 years in men. Usually the incidence decreases after teens, but sometimes it may persist even in the thirties.1 The effects of Acne vulgaris on patients is diverse and vary from psychological effects like withdrawal, developmental problems, depression and anxiety to physical effects like scarring and disfigurement. Modern medicine provide just a temporary relief. With the use of most suitable homoeopathic medicine, acne vulgaris can be properly treated. The case reported here is that of very severe acne vulgaris according to global acne score in an 18 year old girl who was successfully treated with homoeopathic medicine. Patient was observed for 8 months, in these 8 months her acne score reduced from 39 to 2.
