Abstract
This report presents the educational study tour conducted for the first year BHMS students of the 2023–2024 batch as part of their academic curriculum. The primary aim of the tour was to provide practical exposure to the manufacturing, quality control, and standardization processes involved in homoeopathic medicine production. During the eight day tour, students visited a GMP certified homoeopathic pharmaceutical manufacturing unit and the Pharmacopeia Commission for Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy. These visits enabled students to observe various production departments including potency preparation, globule production, maceration, percolation, and trituration processes. Students were also introduced to quality control procedures and standardization techniques used to maintain the safety and efficacy of homoeopathic medicines. Additionally, the tour included visits to botanical gardens where students studied different medicinal plants and their therapeutic uses. Cultural and educational excursions were also organized to enhance experiential learning and peer interaction. Overall, the study tour provided valuable practical knowledge, strengthened academic understanding, and promoted collaborative learning among students in the field of homoeopathy.
